Lane Tredger a été élu pour la première fois lors des élections générales de la 35e Assemblée législative du Yukon, tenues le 12 avril 2021.

Le 11 mai 2021, iel a été élu vice-président du Comité plénier.

Iel est également leader parlementaire du troisième parti.

Le 10 mai 2021, il a été annoncé que Lane Tredger serait porte-parole du Nouveau Parti démocratique pour le logement; les ministères de l’Environnement, et de la Voirie et des Travaux publics; la Direction de la condition féminine et de l’équité des genres; la Société des alcools du Yukon et la Commission des loteries du Yukon; et la Société de développement du Yukon et la Société d’énergie du Yukon.

Le 17 mai 2021, Lane Tredger a été nommé par ordre de la Chambre au Comité permanent des nominations aux principaux comités et commissions du gouvernement. Le 14 avril 2022, iel a été nommé par ordre de la Chambre au Comité permanent des règlements, des élections et des privilèges.

Lane Tredger s’appelait auparavant Emily Tredger. Iel a changé de nom en mars 2023.

Lane Tredger was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election for the 35th Legislative Assembly on April 12, 2021. They were re-elected in the general election for the 36th Legislative Assembly on November 3, 2025

On November 24, 2025, it was announced that Lane Tredger would be the New Democratic Party caucus critic for Housing, Environment, Yukon Energy Corporation and Yukon Development Corporation.

During the 35th Legislative Assembly, Lane Tredger was the New Democratic Party caucus critic for housing, Environment, Highways and Public Works, the Women’s Directorate, the Yukon Liquor Corporation and the Yukon Lottery Commission, and the Yukon Development Corporation and the Yukon Energy Corporation. They also served as the Third Party House Leader and the Deputy Chair of Committee of the Whole on May 11, 2021

Lane Tredger was appointed a member of the Standing Committee on Appointments to Major Government Boards and Committees by Order of the House on May 17, 2021, and later appointed to the Standing Committee on Rules, Elections and Privileges by Order of the House on April 14, 2022, for the 35th Legislative Assembly

Lane Tredger was previously known as Emily Tredger. They changed their name in March 2023.
